Baseball… What a game.
It brings people together, it makes friends out of competitors, it makes us smile, it makes us sad.
Knowing Giacomo’s love of the game is something that will always be with me.
Having been a part of his baseball experience as a coach and a father of a friend/teammate, it was awesome to be able to watch his joy and enthusiasm when he was on the field. Even if he striked out, missed a fly ball or was high fiving his teammates in the dugout, the smile that would be on his face was infectious.
Giacomo’s enthusiasm and tenacity was something that we should all strive for.
I am happy to have been able to spend time with with him and happy that my son got to be in his life.
We are better for having had the experience.
